Henkel has an immediate opening for Chemical Operators on rotating shifts in Salisbury, NC.
This position is responsible for the production of chemical adhesives in a manufacturing environment.
Must possess a moderate level of knowledge of handling and safety characteristics of routinely used raw materials and finished goods.
* Chemical handling experience preferred or 3-5 years related experience in a position utilizing high levels of mechanical/electrical aptitude.
* Demonstrated ability to work with others in a respectful manner and as a member of the team, working with all to achieve all goals set forth in the department.
* Must be self-motivated and a strong team player.
* High school diploma, technical school graduate or general education diploma (GED).
* Strong commitment to safety systems and OSHA required standards.
* Flexibility to work rotating shifts.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs, and up to 25lbs on a frequent basis during a shift.
* Must be in good physical condition that would allow no restriction of movement and no restriction of climbing or descending stairs several times per day in work area.
* Potential to pass haz-mat physical and participate on haz-mat team.
* Ability to wear full face respirator and perform confined space entry.
