Job description

* The candidate will be responsible for Chemistry Assay Development
activities for new and existing products. The candidate will participate in inter-departmental
project teams serving as the team liaison for Chemistry Assay Development. The candidate
will be responsible for designing, implementing and documenting experiments for chemistry
assay development. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for identifying and
communicating sample testing requirements, for scheduling, preparing and testing samples,
and for interpreting, summarizing, documenting and communicating results. The candidate
will also be responsible for troubleshooting aberrant results.

* The candidate will manage technical transfer of assays into AD Assay Support, into contract
laboratories and into Product Supply Quality Control. The person must have documented
experience in chemistry assay development, instrument and method validation, technical
transfer, and project management in a cGMP environment.

* The candidate requires a good understanding of cGMP and FDA regulations. Must have
working knowledge of documentation systems (i.e. SOPs, BPRs, Validation Protocols,
Technical Reports, Work Order, Purchasing System, etc.).

* The candidate must have demonstrated experience in analytical chemistry and/or protein
chemistry.

* The candidate should have experience in one, preferably more of the following: protein purity,
SEC-HPLC, chromatography systems, elemental analysis, total organic carbon content, trace
metal detection, surfactant content, carbohydrate content, polymer content, and other relevant
chemical analysis methods in cGMP (USP) pharmaceutical or bio-pharmaceutical drug
development.

Your qualifications

*The candidate should have a minimum of a B.S. degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical or related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a M.S. with 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. with 2+ years of relevant experience.

* The candidate should have strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and
interdisciplinary skills.
