Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Marine Terminal Facilities Engineer located in Houston, Texas through Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time). Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: Provide technology development and technical service support to both the base business and capital projects in the areas of floating and fixed offshore platforms and marine offloading systems. Provide technical support on offshore terminal problems for conventional trading tankers associated with the maintenance and developments of fixed and floating facilities such as SPM (Single Point Mooring) and CALM (Catenary Anchor Leg Mooring) for FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) systems in shallow to conventional water depth applications. Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related discipline. A minimum of 10 years experience in ocean and marine engineering or naval architecture with strengths in design, operation, maintenance of offloading terminal concepts such as SPM and CALM buoy systems and components. A minimum of 10 years experience in the design and operation of marine terminals and offloading systems associated with FPSO/FSO's. Demonstrated practical experiences on performance and condition assessment for turret, mooring and offloading systems and/or components. Broad knowledge in floating production concepts, marine terminals and offshore loading systems. Demonstrates a personal commitment to safety and the ability to lead contractor and other teams to implement an Incident and Injury Free program and comply with safe work practices and development of safe designs. Demonstrated ability to integrate technology and specialist support into overall business solutions that add value to Chevron. Strong advocate of promoting and sharing lessons learned. Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in Civil, Ocean, Mechanical, Engineering, or Naval Architecture. Relocation Options: Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
