Chevron's Energy Technology Company is accepting online applications for the position of Chevron Drilling Training Alliance (DTA) Coordinator located in Houston, Texas.

Position Details:
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • The Drilling Training Alliance Coordinator works with the DTA Team and course instructors to facilitate the delivery of the DTA's curriculum globally. This includes the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of course content, training activities, simulations, field visits, assessment, etc., instructor selection for all or specific elements of the course, sub-topic delivery of course materials, and management of the logistics associated with implementing each course.
  • The DTA is under the direction of an Alliance Advisory Committee made up of six members, 3 representatives from each company.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years directly related oilfield experience.
  • Excellent communicator capable of technical content delivery in the classroom using fluent English.
  • Requires less than 10% travel, inclusive of domestic and international travel.
  • Broad experience in all aspects of drilling, completion, work over and well services engineering and operations, or in-depth expertise in one area.
  • Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills is expected.
  • Solid understanding of experiential and social learning philosophies and ability to influence instructors' use of both to align factual knowledge and procedural proficiency with conceptual knowledge.
  • Ability to design assessments that provide students with feedback to aid in their development.
  • Student-focused approach to learning.
  • Interpersonal skills that move people toward desired outcomes effectively and efficiently; strong team player.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Accepts responsibility for results.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing.
  • Proven facilitation skills that balance time management with optimized results.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors of Engineering degree.
