Chicago- C# developer for growing hedge fund recruitment
Successful candidate will join the front office development team who are responsible for development of tools used by trading staff within the Chicago office.
Your user-base would be around 40 people. The front office development team currently consists of 6 people and is supported by a local head of IT, application support, desktop and infrastructure support.
Trading staff focus on more systematic styles of trading – statistical arbitrage, higher frequency trading within equities and futures. With this in mind, much development work involves creating solutions relating to electronic trading infrastructure- covering execution and liquidity provision as well as pre-trading analytics, risk management, PnL explain etc..
Applicants are expected to have some prior knowledge of financial markets (although not necessarily high speed E-Trading) combined with genuine appreciation of OO, computer science and programming concepts beyond the MS .NET framework as well as tools within .NET such as WCF, WPF. You should also have excellent knowledge of the C# language and SQL programming. Experience of real-time, messaging orientated systems is a strong plus.
