Chief Accountant
We are currently recruiting for a technically strong accountant to join a blue chip construction business based in central London. The role will have Overall responsibility for the integrity and delivery of the company's financial statements. Ensuring that the correct governance and financial principles are applied.
Responsibilities, skills and experience include:
*Lead financial accounting activities
*Align Financial Accounting with Finance strategy and agenda
*Set financial accounting policy and procedures and provide common templates, terminology and Practices.
*Meet OpCo Finance requirements and support the Group Financial Controller.
*Ensure the Financial Accounting team is appropriately resourced, informed, motivated and trained to meet business objectives and support the Finance Operating Model.
*Manage financial accounts and produce financial statements for BUs / contracts based on accurate maintenance of the General Ledger.
*Manage regular and ad-hoc statutory reporting.
*Manage direct and indirect tax for, including liaison with the tax team as necessary on strategic tax issues.
*Manage working capital, cash and undertake shorter-term cash forecasting for.
Qualifications and Skills
*ACA Qualified or equivalent, with a number of years post qualified experience
*Strong technical accounting background
*Experience of working in a changing environment
