International Retail company is looking for a Chief Accountant
I. Job Objectives:
· Lead Russian Accounting Department
· Provide support and adequate information to the Group
· Assure the controls within Accounting Department
II. Main Tasks:
Financial Reporting
Preparation of statutory tax declarations VAT, CIT, proper and timely tax recognition and documentation of transactions, Statistical Reporting, Preparation of Statutory Financial Statements according to Russian GAAP, reconcile statutory accounts to the company management books and group (US GAAP) reporting.
Lead monthly close process for purposes of the company management accounting (appropriate expenditures registered within appropriate financial period), ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on timely basis in line with the company policy, ensure all journal entries are supported by sufficient and appropriate documentation and are approved in line with the company policy.
Supervision of the Controls within Accounting Department
Controlling of local overheads Advertising and Promotion expenses, assist in drafting and standardisation of statutory accounting policies, internal procedures and processes.
Other duties
Performing ad hoc analysis, supporting forecasts and maintaining relationship with auditors, tax authorities and the rest of the company, supporting the Group Financial Controller in the preparation of annual/quarterly budgets.
III. Key Relationships:
· Internal Working Relationships : Local Finance and Accounting team, Sales, Marketing, Sales Administration, International Finance Analysts in HQ.
· External Working Relationships : statutory auditors, tax advisors.
IV. Competencies:
Technical: Very good understanding of Russian Tax and Statistical requirements as well as Russian GAAP.
Very good Understanding of US GAAP/IFRS.
Very good knowledge of Excel required.
Very good working knowledge of 1C required.
Ability to communicate in English on daily basis (verbal and written).

V. Education:
Bachelor degree at a minimum
VI. Experience:
At least five years of accounting experience with at least three years as Chief Accountant. Experience in working for Russian subsidiary of International Corporation is required.
Experience in 1C implementation will be an advantage.
