Chief Architect / Lead Developer at AMVONET (Alliance, OH) (allows remote)
Job Description
The Chief Software Architect is a member of the Company’s leadership team having primary responsibility to ensure the Company’s software solution is well engineered, operable, maintainable, delivered on schedule, aligns to product strategy/vision and provides the anticipated business value. This role requires active and effective collaboration with the VP of Research and Development, an international team of developers, operations personnel, customers, prospects, strategic partners and investors in achieving the Company’s business and technical objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Interview, assess, hire and manage international software developers to put together an A class software product development team.
* Continue to develop the application including bug fixes and new features.
* Porting the application to run on Adobe Air (including to be able to run on iOS).
* Assigning tasks to team members
* Coordination of team members
* Check the results: Review, code and design decisions of team members
* Directly involved in the design and development of system components
* The direction of research and decision-making on further software development
Skills Requirements
* Ability to begin project by self, and then be able to delegate development tasks to other developers / team members.
* Knowledge of OOP, OOD, Design Patterns, multi-threading/concurrency
* Knowledge of Java2EE
* Knowledge of the following technologies (in order of importance):
ActionScript, C + + / Objective-C, JavaScript, PHP, Phyton
* The desire and ability to work with different technologies and programming languages at the same time
