SUMMARY
The Genworth Financial Asset Management (GFAM) Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) is an executive-level position, reporting to the GFWM SVP Investments, and is responsible for developing and executing GFAM's business strategy and business plan. Responsibilities include driving business growth and market share through business strategy formation and activity related to marketing, sales, product development and client service. The CCO of GFAM is charged with ensuring the integrated commercial success of the GFAM organization and combines the need for technical knowledge of investments and retail asset management strategies with strong intermediary marketing and engagement acumen. The GFAM CCO is expected to take ownership of the client and the client interface, establish the strategic objectives of the business and ensure that all organizational functions including internal, matrix and external resources, are aligned to meet strategic and commercial objectives.

Duties:
• Growth of the business
• Development of business strategy including growth plans, operating structures and resource requirements.
• Execution of business strategies through implementation of personnel, resources, marketing programs and sales strategies.
• Product development and management including maintenance and rationalization of current product suite as well as product design and development in collaboration with the CIO, to serve growth opportunities.
• Development of the growth agenda through evaluating, developing and executing on channel expansion opportunities, organic growth strategies and other business development opportunities.
• Direct oversight of marketing and communications strategy.
• Direct oversight of product sales and service function.
• Direct accountability for growth commitments and business metrics.

Basic Requirements:
• MBA or equivalent.
• At least 15 years experience in the investment management industry - experience directly related to business strategy management, marketing and sales strategy and product development and management. Understanding of asset allocation, active management, global capital markets, performance attribution
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with peers and external contacts and strong interpersonal skills in order to work in collegial environment and influence both internally and externally.
• Strong working knowledge of major Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities to timely and successful conclusion adhering to deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal support.
• Reliability, flexibility and constructive attitude toward change.
• History and experience in growing asset management businesses.

Preferred Requirements:
• CFA or other investments certification a plus.
• Understanding of complex investment strategies.
