Chief Compliance Officer – Real Estate recruitment

• Responsible for overall compliance policies and issues relating to certain Asset Management Group real estate businesses (i.e., Global Real Estate and Affordable Housing Group) (“GRE”) globally.

• Conduct periodic reviews of GRE businesses and existing compliance policies and procedures to determine if such policies and procedures address GRE’s business operations. Collaborate with the AMG CCOs, AIG Internal Audit team and GRE General Counsel to develop additional GRE policies and procedures to add and/or supplement such existing compliance policies and procedures.

• Application of Corporate compliance policies to GRE (e.g., FCPA and AML issues).

• Monitoring adherence of the GRE businesses to the relevant AMG compliance policies and practices.

• Work day-to-day within the GRE businesses by partnering with the GRE General Counsel, as well as with GRE legal and business teams and regional compliance colleagues throughout the world with respect to GRE regulatory, reputational and compliance risk. 

• Work with GRE corporate and the business line on due diligence reviews for joint ventures and other real estate collective investment vehicles and actively liaise with the applicable dedicated compliance and/or legal professionals on issues and processes concerning the FCPA, OFAC, KYC and AML. Also be involved in other legal/regulatory issues governing the business activities of GRE (e.g., as required, work with in-house or outside counsel on GRE issues relating to Anti-Boycott legislation, Trade Sanctions, Customer Confidentiality requirements).

• Deliver AMG Compliance regionally the information necessary for regional compliance teams to develop a local comprehensive compliance program focusing on GRE’s real estate investment, development activities and the investment advisory component of GRE’s business. 

• Review, comment and partner on training programs developed by AMG Compliance and Corporate Compliance which are intended to add and/or supplement existing training programs. Assist trainers in their roll-out of these corporate compliance policy initiatives. Liaise with GRE personnel to assist with the selection of dates, times and locations of training. Provide training to GRE employees where specific expertise is required. Actively interface with GRE staff worldwide.
