About our Client
Our European client is the leading independent advisor distributor of insurance financial products globally. Through careful but optimistic growth - the firm has 1000 employees 50 offices - the commitment is towards continued growth and development, with an emphasis on the Greater China Asia Pacific markets. To do this through superlative service expertise to their customers, they are now seeking to appoint a Chief Executive Officer for their China Operations.
Job Description
The China CEO should independently manage the company in order to maximise profitability. While reporting directly to the Group CEO based in Europe, the position will have full strategic and operational responsibility for the entire entity. Included in this, is responsibility for designing and implementing the business strategies which will drive efficiencies across the board.
All external market related activity is focused on Wealth Management business development (and associated strategy) and be familiar with regulatory bodies where appropriate.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate must have strong track record in any one of the different areas of Wealth Management. Those coming from Private Banking or Retail Banking as well as Financial Advisory are especially relevant.
As part of your recent experience you will have accumulated a very solid network within a diverse range of financial entities, a good understanding of PRC regulations and a rich knowledge of the Asia Pacific (and most importantly) the Greater China financial landscape.
Of course, there is a strong requirement for practical ( where necessary, hands-on) operational experience and there is no question that excellent people management skills are essential.
