Our client is a leading player in its segment within the commodities sector. It is part of a global financial services organisation, with roots in Europe and a strong focus in emerging markets in particular Asia.
This is an exciting opportunity where you will set up and provide leadership to the group's corporate functions in Singapore. Your remit includes developing and implementing strategic plans, as well as managing finance, treasury, risk, operations, human resources and admin and technology functions. This is a multi-faceted role, where you are expected to work closely with the business, face off with senior stakeholders, external advisers, yet be prepared to be hands on in managing an effective operation which has strong risk and controls focus.
You are degree qualified with broad based finance and operations/administration experience gained in small financial services or trading firms. Experience in the commodities sector will be advantageous but not a must. You have strong leadership and people management skills, is a strategic thinker with strong problem solving, organisational and communication skills. Written and spoken Mandarin skills will be highly preferred. Some travel is expected.
