Chief Finance Officer, Shanghai – EFNC/CN77502/BRZH recruitment

Primary Responsibilities

• Partner with business leader and staff to drive operating performance;

• Effectively manage/coordinate/develop a team finance professionals, controllers, FPAs analysts;

• Ownership for developing estimates, operating plans/forecasts/reviews, Growth Playbook (3-year Plan), SII (1-year Plan), and Operating plan;

• Drive profitable growth by providing analysis of results and reporting key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions;

• Streamline Accounting Controllership practices across the business, and ensure compliance;

• Provide financial analysis and insight in support of business decision making needs, including evaluation of major risks and opportunities;

• Coordinate internal and external financial audits for the business and ensuring all legal, tax, and GAAP requirements are met;

• Provide Finance leadership for BD, NPI activities;

• Lead cross-functional projects (working with Operations, IT, Marketing mainly) focused on improving rigor in key Finance processes, reducing costs improving profitability;

• Ensure Integrity is upheld throughout all processes, policies and practices, by ensuring appropriate communication, training and prioritization of related activities.

• Partner with the Global Growth and Operations Finance team to share best practices and drive growth and productivity

• Liaise with Chinese government regulators on licensing and funding issues related to the business

• Provide leadership  in BD finance for partnerships lead negotiation for financial accounting matters

• Maintain effective communication with CFO of JV

• Work closely with JV Finance function to make sure JV’s Finance related process and policies aligned with client’s practice.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of 10 years of financial work experience including developing forecasts operating plans and leading business / finance reviews;

• Inclusive leader with proven leadership – ability to build, lead and motivate team members

• Clear thinking / problem solving, successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas;

• Experience working in matrix and other complex organizational structures, able to build relations within a large organization

• Strong analytic skills, able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change;

• Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), and functions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing

• Integrity, accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others;

• Confidence / Assertiveness, strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values

• Adaptable/flexible, being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations

• Demonstrated experience and understanding of Accounting Principles and Controllership;

• Proficiency in Mandarin English – written and oral.

• Local language ability to work with directly communicate with Chinese regulators

Desired

• Masters’ degree in Business Administration

• Graduate of the client's Financial Management Program (FMP), Experienced Financial Leadership Program (EFLP) or Corporate Audit Staff (CAS);

• Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma

• Finance product knowledge (Leasing, NPL, Card)
