About Our Client
Our client is long-standing, highly reputable, insurance company with one of the largest AUMs. The firm is currently recruiting a Chief Financial Officer for their India operations in Delhi NCR.
Job Description
Reporting to the Asia Pacific CFO and locally to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for the firm's finance, accounting, business strategy and compliance functions. The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Providing leadership, management, training and support to the team
- Managing all financial control and reporting requirements of the business
- Providing strategic financial direction to management
- Liaising and managing external third party advisors including legal counsel, company secretaries and auditors
- Maintaining relationships with regulators
- Generating creative and innovative ideas and solutions to business problems and issues using a professional and flexible approach.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with 12-15 years post qualified experience in financial services including experience within a Big 4 accountancy firm. You have awareness of tax issues as well as compliance and have strong financial knowledge. Experience in an Insurance firm within a controller background would be highly desirable. Finally, you are a stable, mature professional who has experience in management so as to effectively develop and lead the finance and accounting team.
