The Role - CFO Chase Card Services
We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer responsible for the financial management of our Partner business. This individual will directly lead and shape an organization of 20 finance professionals. This high profile role will be expected to formulate strategy with the Business Unit President to drive profitable growth, emphasize doing what is right for the customer, all while keeping shareholders' interests firmly at the forefront of any decision making. The emphasis is on partnership and candidates must demonstrate the confidence to challenge the business.
This role will manage a multi-billion dollar business and will have direct interaction with five major partners.
This position reports to Ray Fischer, CFO, Chase Card Services Consumer Lending. The role offers great visibility across the business as well as, the broader JPMorganChase firm.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that the business is operating within the parameters of the Partner contracts.
- Attract, retain and develop a team of world class finance professionals.
- Prepare accurate and insightful monthly and quarterly reports, consistent with JPM standards.
- Provide valuable consulting to Business Unit President to drive business results.
- Set and execute business strategy and development, accountable for profit and loss.
- Assess industry trends, market size and structure and competitor benchmarks and measure effectiveness to ensure Card Services delivers with "customer first" mentality, the highest quality standards, and with high sense of urgency.
- Partner with Business Unit leaders to set financial targets which are aggressive, achievable and tied to long term goals. Continually monitor performance against goals.
- Provide informative business financial information and coordinate business financial planning and budget management functions.
- Ensure accurate, secure and timely recording and reporting of business activities.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with other businesses and functional groups to support business growth while balancing the appropriate controls.
- 10+ years of broad business management experience in a Fortune 500 company
- Proven track record in negotiating Partner contracts.
- Creative thought leader, exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with proven ability to conceptualize new ideas
- Bachelors Degree required, CPA, MBA or Advanced degree strongly desired
- Unparalleled customer focus; able to understand customer needs, think strategically and provide innovative solutions
- Results oriented CFO background with ability to identify opportunities to grow business
- Ability to create a clear, simple and compelling vision, develop strategy and communicates in a way that gains engagement at all levels
- Proven leadership and influencing skills and ability to collaborate across a highly matrixed organization
- Ability to set and manage accountabilities and expectations at all levels - team members, peers, business partners and senior and executive management
- Excellent relationship skills, highly collaborative - can build rapport and credibility quickly with all levels of the organization
- Executive presence, comfortable interacting with, presenting to and influencing senior leaders
- Track record of building great teams and attracting top talent
- MA experience required
