Chief Financial Officer recruitment
Our client, one of the worlds largest Financial Services providers has a requirement for a Chief Financial Officer. This is a key strategic role and one that offers diversity and the exposure of working for a multinational and multisite company.
Job Purpose:
- Managing Country Finance Function
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the integrity of the financial process and the accuracy of the internal and external financial statements, the tax, the regulatory and the management performance reports of the three legal entities and the entire range of their products
- Supporting the CCO and providing full Planning Analysis and strategic support
- Serves as a member of the executive leadership team in Ireland.
- Responsible for compliance with local tax laws and tax planning;
- Ensuring compliance with local regulatory and tax reporting requirements;
- Ensuring internal controls are in place and operating effectively;
- Chairing the Legal Vehicle Management Committee, managing and complying with our clients Legal Vehicle Management Policy ("LVMP") and advising the CCO of regulatory developments that affect the business activity that our client conducts in the country;
- Ensuring an effective working relationship with the regulators and statutory auditors, anticipating and informing the CCO, country business managers and regional CFOs of significant regulatory developments and helping to create and implement strategies;
- Ensuring that appropriate statutory audits and examinations are conducted, as well as ensuring that the tracking of corrective actions for internal, management Control Assessments ("MCAs") and external audits are diligently performed;
- Represent our client to financial partners including financial institutions, investors, financial executives, regulators, auditors and state authorities.
- Coordinating/managing the effort for budgeting and planning across businesses and franchise
- Providing/ensuring integrity of MIS to management to support business decision making
- Involvement with major issues in the various businesses in the country that could give rise to regulatory concerns or franchise risks.
- Advise the CCO and other managers of the financial and regulatory ramifications of any ethical and business practice concerns raised within the country.
- Participation in strategic decisions affecting our clients businesses in the country.

Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience:
- Extensive in-depth post- qualification experience working for an internationally reputed bank's Finance Department (15+ years).
- Ideally have held Country CFO Role. Experience in Regulatory reporting, Financial Control, Product Control and FPA would be highly desirable.
Skills:
- Excellent Regulatory and Financial Control Skills needed.
- Excellent Budgeting and planning skills.
- Reengineering, project and Process changes skills would be very desirable.
Qualifications:
- Typically Qualified accountant - ACA/ ACCA/CIMA or equivalent with significant post qualification experience.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent desirable.

- Very strong control skills
- Leadership ability to build a top class Finance team and develop them significantly. Ability to lead and motivate the overall Finance team through significant change and reengineering.

- Excellent negotiation skills, due to close contact with external parties such as clients, government bodies or other organizations on matters that impact the business.
