Chief Financial Officer recruitment
Reporting to the CEO, the CFO is responsible for managing all finance matters of the bank, in particular managing the bank’s balance sheet, its funding and costs thereof, the bank’s financial income and expense, providing business and financial intelligence to management, internal profit center and transfer pricing system, budgeting and reporting, and all regulatory matters in connections with finance including reporting to the supervisory entity.
The ideal candidate has the ability to work and prioritize tasks under pressure. We are looking for a multi-tasking, self-disciplined, self-motivated and proactive person with a hands-on mentality. Entrepreneurial flair, excellent analytical and conception skills, flexibility as well as the wish be part of a small bank are indispensable.
Duties and responsibilities
- Directs, plans, controls and coordinates the finance activities of the Bank in line with established objectives and standards/procedures.
- Establishes budgets, forecasts and plans and deviation reports with analysis of deviations and internal transfer pricing with KPIs.
- Manages all reporting matters to the supervisory entity, including reporting foreign currency positions.
- Manages the funding plan and financial margin of banking operations including ALCO and liquidity management
- Participates in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of strategic business and performance goals, plans, budgets, programs and policies
- Preparation of annual financial statements and annual report (basis: IFRS) and interim financial statements as adequate
- Participate with risk management in setting up a risk measurement methodology and concept, and other major risk measures
Skills and specifications
- Qualified accountant with a strong academic background
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position in a Bank or financial institution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; outstanding organization skills
- Attention to detail is key
- Ability to meet conflicting priorities whilst working under pressure
- Must treat all aspects of the work with high confidentiality and discretion
- Native Portuguese or Spanish speaker, excellent command of Business English
- Preferential age between 35 and 50 years
- Availability as soon as possible
