Chief Financial Officer recruitment

As a critical member of our leadership team, we will rely on you for the overall coordination and maintenance of the financial activities for Carson Wealth Management Group (CWMG), to include but not limited to financial and management accounting, reporting and general accounting functions.

Responsibilities:
? Ensure opportunities are afforded to staff to develop and maintain their skills at the highest standards. Foster, through mentoring and leadership, critical and independent thinking skills and behaviors. Exercise full authority concerning hiring, performance management, reviews, promotions, salary decisions and terminations
? Manage and produce financial reports and analysis for CWMG. Present annual profit plan, with quarterly updates to Team Leaders and the Executive Committee
? Manage all activities related to NASD, SEC, state and federal regulatory reporting for CWMG. Ensure timeliness, accuracy and thoroughness
? Ensure accounting policies, procedures and operating methods are in compliance with all parent company and regulatory agency requirements
? Interact with outside accounting firm, internal and external auditors and all regulatory agencies regarding significant issues
? Ensure accurate analysis of reporting requirements and their implication for the firm. Stay abreast of accounting and regulatory trends and developments
? Manage the entire budget process ensuring all needs of the unit are met to support the revenue requirements of CWMG. Ensure all deadlines are met. Present the final budget to the Team Leaders and Executive Committee
? Provide consultation to President and CEO to facilitate the development of competitive business strategies for resource management and cost effectiveness

Requirements:
? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related field
? CPA coupled with experience as a CFO or similar position
? Minimum 8- 10 years in corporate accounting or finance experience, preferably within the brokerage and/or Registered Investment Advisory field.
? Thorough knowledge of corporate accounting
? Working understanding of NASD, SEC and State regulations governing securities and insurance
? Broad knowledge of all aspects of the brokerage financial functions
? Superior problem solving abilities, as well as the ability to spot underlying patterns
? Proven analytical and research skills
? Ability to prioritize work schedule and meet deadlines
? Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities and work assignments
? Attention to detail and recognition of critical issues
? Investment product knowledge
? Customer service and interpersonal skills
? Planning and organizational skills
? PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office
? Time and project management skills
? Written and verbal communication skills
? Ability to deal directly with diversified personnel from senior management to support staff
? Understanding of the regulatory requirements for RIAs and brokerage industry firms
