In this newly created position, you will be responsible for the development and communication of a shared vision for the use of information technologies, resources and services essential to the College’s mission and in support of the newly finalized Strategic Plan. We’ll rely on you to provide leadership and strategic planning in the management of personnel, budgets and programs for all areas of IT, including  technological innovations in the Law Library, computing technology services and support, academic technologies, enterprise applications, information security and enterprise technology planning and support.  Your scope of work will be campus wide, necessitating a high level of familiarity with and commitment to meeting the information needs for all College administrative and academic technology.

 

This highly visible opportunity reports directly to the Chancellor and Dean of the College and requires a graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, a record of professional experience that demonstrates progressive responsibilities and accomplishments in IT leadership roles, an understanding of current trends in information and telecommunication services and a proven track record of leveraging enterprise administrative software solutions. Advanced knowledge of data communications between different types and classes of hardware such as mainframes, minis and micros is essential, as is familiarity with Datatel and advanced experience planning for hardware growth, expansion and replacement. The proven ability to analyze information and situations to identify problems, recognize alternatives and their implications and formulate logical and objective conclusions is required along with demonstrated experience managing, directing and motivating personnel with diverse experiences and strengths in a complex, consensus-based setting. Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, budgeting, presentation, negotiating and organizational skills are also necessary, as is sound judgment and the ability to formulate strategies and policies and organize people, information and resources for efficient and effective task accomplishment and minimal duplication of effort.

 

This opportunity offers an annual hiring range of $140,000-$153,600 commensurate with experience and an excellent fringe benefits package.
