Position Summary:
Responsible for an effective management of investment department, ensure key KPIs achieved and investment transactions, policies and procedures align with the organization’s short and long term objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulations, principles and standards. 

Principal Accountabilities:
1. Set up investment objectives and strategy to support company overall business target with a profound understanding of external regulatory requirements and market trends
2. Lead the investment team of 12-16 people to achieve net investment income (NII) plan and manage the asset/liability management (ALM) risk appropriately;
3. Build investment capability (portfolio management, market research, credit analysis etc.), and enhance investment process and governance.
4. Build good work relationship with regional investment office and leverage MetLife regional and globally investment and system capabilities.
5. Internal clients’ focus and manage expectation practically and deliver solution pragmatically
6. Provide support to product development initiatives, product design and sales for general and separate accounts
7. Ensure investment portfolio falls within internal guidelines (ISEPs, TOGAS and counterparty limits) and external regulatory limits
8. Evaluate and recommend new asset classes, as appropriate
9. Develop relationships with banks and brokers in facilitating trade flows.
10. Supervise daily investment transactions for the general account and the separate account. Manage short-term liquidity within long-range goals
11. Prepare regular and ad hoc investment reporting for internal and external uses 12. Facilitate internal communications between HK office, Regional Investment and HO investment teams, and external communications between regulatory authority, financial institutions and custodians on investment related issues
12. Develop talents and foster MetLife’s investment culture

Typical Relationships:
1. Internal: Local market research team, channel, product, finance and actuarial teams; Regional and home office fund management teams;
2. External: Fund houses, securities companies, regulator etc.

Main Requirements:
1. College degree or above in investment or related areas
2. 15+ years of investment experience;
3. At least 5 years of managerial experience in insurance asset management area;
4. Past experience of VUL account management a plus;
5. CFA Charter Holder or Candidate preferred;
6. Good command of English a plus;
7. Professional Knowledge: Domestic equity and mutual fund market; Global investment philosophy; Investment in insurance companies;
