Chief Marketing Officer — Asia Pacific recruitment
The Chief Marketing Officer for Asia Pacific will report to the Chief Marketing Officer for Global Investment Management and the Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific, they will be part of Global Investment Management Marketing Management team and the Asia Pacific Investment Management Operating Committee. The heads of marketing for each of the Asia Pacific markets will also have a reporting line to this position as well as their Country Head.
In this new role, the Head of Asia Pacific Marketing will be responsible for the development of our regional marketing strategy, the management of the Asia Pacific marketing budget and the development and delivery of our brand experience. In addition, they will also work closely with their partners in the Global Client Experience teams to deliver our Insights programs and our digital client experience to Asia Pacific clients and Product Strategy and Events to ensure we are focused on the right product priorities and themes and deliver an outstanding Event experience across the region.
Objectives
Marketing's mission is to define the desired client experience and provide the content-based programs, environments, materials and the distribution plan that will allow us to build and deepen relationships to accomplish three dominant objectives:
- Drive and retain Investment flows and revenues
- Deliver our desired 'client experience' consistently across the region
- Create broader awareness of J.P. Morgan Asset Management's insights and investment capabilities

Skills
To be successful in this role, a candidate will have:
- 15+ years of marketing experience, ideally including a minimum of 3-5 years of investment management or asset management experience at a major financial services provider and/or significant retail experience in a B2B2C environment.
- Demonstrated success and significant experience in developing and executing market strategies, with experience in brand development, client experience and digital communications an advantage
- Demonstrated the ability to create a successful marketing organization within a complex business and have demonstrated the ability to partner effectively in a matrix environment
- Strong understanding of financial markets and investments. While there is a practice area focused on investments and with whom the marketing teams will partner, the ideal candidate will have an interest in the current investment issues and enough macroeconomic and microeconomic fluency to understand how to message to clients.
- A highly flexible and efficient approach to managing his/her own time and those of team members, in particular an ability to multitask, manage and meet multiple concurrent deadlines.
- An ability to thrive in relatively flat, un-hierarchical environment, where speed-to-market and finding the right answer are considered to be most important.
- A proven team-based approach to partnering in a collaborative manner. Partnership with shared service teams and other marketing specialists is critical to the successful delivery of our client experience.
