Chief Nursing Officer Job in Alturas 96101, California US
Modoc Medical Center, located in a beautiful area of northern California with access to great outdoor opportunities - hunting, fishing, camping, snow skiing and wide open spaces, is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer. The position reports to the CEO and duties include but are not limited to:
Objectives:
- Develops goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures in order to provide specified nursing services in accordance with administrative guidelines.
- Organizes the nursing department to meet legal, organizational and medical staff guidelines in order that optimum health care delivery may be implemented in the facility.
- Organizes, directs, plans, assesses, implements and leads the nursing service of the Medical Center .
Qualifications:
- Adaptable to varied and emergency situations. Has an enthusiastic and resourceful personality.
- Is able to communicate in English both orally and in writing. Is able to see and hear adequately to perform functions of the job.
- Has the ability to walk, bend and lift and has the dexterity to perform the manual skills required for administrative operations.
Education:
- A California-licensed RN with above average mental ability, good physical and mental health and a courteous and kind disposition
- Bachelor’s degree required or highly desirable, or must have four years of experience in nursing administration or supervisory experience with evidence of CEU’s directly related to the job specifications.
Training and Skills:
- Five to 10 years experience as a staff nurse with a varied experience desirable
- Broad general knowledge of principles of nursing care
- Experience in leadership and good interpersonal relations
- Ability to apply sound principles of administration and supervision and has good problem solving capabilities
- Self-starter who is multi-task oriented and flexible to an ever changing workload
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office applications
