Chief of Staff – Counterparty & Treasury IT recruitment

The recently formed Counterparty Treasury IT function within the UBS Investment Bank manages the build out and support of UBS’ Credit Valuation Adjustment, Counterparty Credit Risk, Liquidity Funding IT systems.

As the successful candidate your job will be to work with the Counterparty Treasury IT department head and direct reports to ensure the smooth running of the department and associated delivery of key initiatives within the Counterparty Treasury IT space across CVA, Basel 3, Group Treasury and IB Treasury Trading.

You are expected to have a good background knowledge of all elements of IT development and project lifecycles including business case development, budgeting/forecasting, project planning definition of deliverables, defining user requirements, conducting structured analysis and functional technical design, managing development, testing, release and post implementation cycles, risk issues definition, management and escalation as well as very strong communication at all levels.

As the ideal candidate you are expected to have the following:

•  A Proven track record of managing the project office for a complex portfolio of projects, large multi-disciplinary programme or for large (50+ resource) IT departments including cost forecasting management

• Strong analytical numerical skills and be structured and systematic in their approach

• Experience of successfully working to deadlines to realise the business benefits associated with IT or Business projects

• Very strong communication skills with previous exposure and understanding of the roles of Finance / Treasury, Market Risk, Credit Risk and Front Office desks within an Investment Bank

• Experience of managing all areas of the project lifecycle and responsibility for ensuring that appropriate controls are in place to support successful deliveries on time and within agreed budgets

To be successful in the role it may also be beneficial to have knowledge and experience of the following:

• Credit / Counterparty Risk, Treasury, Liquidity Funding and as such an understanding of risk measures, Liquidity and Funding and associated tools reports

• One or more financial products within an Investment Bank

• Regulatory / audit frameworks requirements for banking systems processes supporting
