REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant must have valid active membership in the West Virginia Bar and have a minimum of five years of felony trial experience, as well as familiarity with juvenile cases and abuse and neglect proceedings. In addition, management experience in a law office environment, including all areas of personnel, technology and financial management is highly desirable. Successful candidates have demonstrated the ability to handle all professional aspects of criminal law practice and demonstrate a personal commitment to human rights issues and indigent defense.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Full supervision and management of professional and support staff in an 18-lawyer firm with offices in Charles Town and Martinsburg, WV; financial management of the firm, including budget preparation, submission to funding agencies and advocacy for necessary funding; and administration of grants totaling several million dollars per year.
DEADLINE: April 15, 2012
SALARY: Negotiable, based on experience and available funding.
