Chief Risk Manager
The role of the Chief Risk Manager will be to create and implement best practice of risk management policies and procedures and ensure they align to the parent company’s own policies and guidelines. They will also actively participate in the transaction approval process to ensure compliance with company policy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the identification, mitigation, monitoring and reporting of Business Risk
- Lead initiatives to build an appropriate risk ownership and management culture throughout the organisation
- Develop and enhance risk awareness through training and communication to employees
- Ensure activities comply with parent company established policy and guidelines.
- Take ownership for the implementation of risk management policies
- Develop and maintain controls and processes to ensure risk management remains within the bank’s risk appetite
- Manage the risk assessment review team and participate in work-outs
- Manage a Portfolio Credit team of 3
- Participate in the transaction approval process to ensure compliance with internal policies though to ultimate approval
- Provide relevant risk strategies, solutions and reporting to the business
This role will require extensive experience within aviation and ideally aircraft leasing / aviation finance, strong technical knowledge of risk assessment and control methodologies as well the ability to implement best practices.
