Chief Risk Officer
In this role you will partner business and lead the way for their risk management function. You will direct and oversee the entity's risk management function, monitor progress of identified current and future actions and review, approve and monitor key risk indicators as have been established. It is also crucial to maintain relevant communications with key internal and external stakeholders including senior management and local regulators. You will ensure that the bank's activities meet requirements of legal and regulatory bodies as well as the bank's internal compliance standards. You will be providing relevant risk strategies, solutions and reporting to business, the risk committee, senior management and regulators as required and ensure risk management practice is effective and meeting company standards and regulatory requirements.
The successful applicant's ideal profile will have at least 10 years of risk management experience in China with commercial and investment banking exposure, with at least 6 years of experience in credit risk across the business. You will have extensive banking product and business knowledge and also a good understanding and network with local regulators. You will posses a high level of competence to help you determine solutions around appropriate risk measures, monitoring, processes and management. You will have a proven track record in setting up a risk management framework in China and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This is essential as you will have to build effective relationships with your stakeholders.
