The Role:
- Station in China
- Main contact and person-in-charge for all staffs within the bank’s various risk functions in the Greater China region
- Establish risk management framework and policies
- Develop and maintain good relationships with local regulators
- Oversight all risk function across all business lines
- Take on a leadership role on various business and risk committees
- Develop a team of risk professionals and coordinate related training
- Manage special projects given by the APAC CRO
The Candidate:
- Degree holder in Risk Management or a related business discipline
- Preferably with a Professional Qualification: CPA, FRM, ACIB, ACIS, etc.
- Existing relationship and network with local Chinese regulators: CBRC, CSRC and/or PBOC
- Min 10+ years experience in banking Risk Management; currently in a senior capacity covering most/all risk functions, preferably with a larger focus within Market Risk and/or Operational Risk and Compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of a wide variety of banking products, especially capital market products
- Native or near native Mandarin; fluent English
