Chief Technology Officer at CoopMetrics (Washington, DC) (allows remote)
Job Description
We are poised to enter a high growth period and are seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to be part of our executive team. The CTO’s primary responsibility is to craft our technology strategy in alignment with our social and business missions. The CTO is responsible for all aspects of technology at CoopMetrics, including developing and implementing technology initiatives, managing and growing our geographically distributed team, and directing our information systems development. The CTO works in close coordination with other executive team members, technology team, operations team, and customers, serving as the principal leader of our software development and systems infrastructure efforts. The Chief Technology Officer reports to the CEO.
Chief Technology Officer Responsibilities:
The CTO is responsible for all IT infrastructure including internal software, network infrastructure, data security, customer facing software, data center selection and operations, disaster recovery planning, and quality assurance and should have experience in all these technical areas.
- Define long and medium range technology plans in the context of internal requirements and inspired by customers.
- Communicate our company’s technology development plans and capabilities, technology expenditures, system configuration and status, and overall technology efforts.
- Respond to and collaborate with executives, staff, and customers to assess and develop products and services.
- Inspire, lead and grow a team of technology experts.
- Maintain CoopMetrics’ position at the leading edge of technology development.
