At least 21 years of age
High school diploma or GED
Two years of experience as a child care teacher or center director
4 non-credit department-approved courses in early childhood education or its equivalent OR
2 years of college credits with at least 12 college credits in early childhood education or equivalent OR
4 college courses in early childhood education or equivalent OR
Associate of arts degree in child care OR
60 college credits including 4 college courses in early childhood education OR
License from Wisconsin department of public instruction to act as a pre-kindergarten or early childhood exceptional educational needs teacher.
