As part of the Mount Thorley Warkworth Strategic Review; several key engineering roles have been identified within the Coal Handling Process Plant to manage a large number of high value add projects. As part of a dedicated Engineering and Support team, the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will deliver real value to the business.
 
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
·        Provides engineering support for plant Maintenance and Reliability teams; 
·        Ensures that the repair practices and asset tactics are successfully applied in the field;
·        Ensures compliance with relevant statutory and legislative provisions;
·        Fosters a culture of continuous improvement; identifying best practise and opportunity for improvement in maintenance;
·        Carries out defect elimination tasks in a planned methodical manner, by engaging internal and external resources where required; and
·        Manages maintenance improvement projects identified as critical to the CHPP operations.
 
As a tertiary qualified Mechanical Engineer, you will have extensive technical experience in the mining industry or a process industry; working with crushers, rail mounted yard machines, conveyors, pumps, material handling equipment, processing machinery, etc. You are methodical and have sound experience in being involved in all aspects of a project; up to ensuring that the correct drawings are in place. You are a safety focussed team player, with good communication skills; including the ability to engage other professionals within the project development area.
