We have an exciting opportunity for an Actuary, in pricing andworking in the General Insurance Pricing and Analytics team. The General Insurance business is responsible for the Home and Motor insurance products and is one of the fastest growing personal lines insurance businesses in Australia. The position of Pricing Actuary is a senior role within the General Insurance business, taking ownership of all aspects of pricing for a key portfolio. Reporting to the Executive Manager, Pricing and Analytics, you will utilise your technical and commercial acumen to drive value, control risk and manage portfolio profitability.

Your tasks will extend beyond undertaking end-to-end pricing analysis, but also include developing pricing strategy and driving improvements to pricing processes. Beyond your immediate team you will have opportunities to work closely with a wide variety of teams including, product, claims, actuarial, underwriting, marketing, risk management, finance and IT. The role also presents an exciting opportunity to work on Group level strategic projects and initiatives.

We are looking for an individual with at least five plus years' of professional experience, who has very strong analytical and statistical skills and has a passion for using data to solve business problems. Pricing experience is preferred, though since we are looking for the highest calibre of staff, to benefit the long term success of the team, we would consider strong candidates with limited direct pricing experience. You will need to enjoy coaching and developing team members, be customer orientated, and be able to build effective relationships and rapport at all levels.
