CIB – F&BM – Legal Entity Control UK – Associate

The Legal Entity Control (LEC) team are part of JP Morgan's Corporate Investment Bank Business and Finance team. The LEC team includes 40 team members and is broken into 3 teams split along legal entity lines.

The team are primarily responsible for the oversight of the legal entities in the UK and ensuring that a strong control environment exists as it relates to all businesses, products and operational areas that impact the UK financial accounts.

The team are responsible for ensuring that all legal entity implications are considered for all transactions that flow through the entities. Individual members of the team are required to have a firm understanding of the products and businesses that use the entities. The team collaborate extensively with the Product and Business Controllers who have primary responsibility for the business activities.

At present there is one open position within the MIS LEC team. We are looking for candidates who have a strong financial control background and a good understanding of Investment Banking Products. The candidates should have the capability to apply this knowledge in a commerical environment, as the role will require their input into a broad range of financial, business, regulatory and infrastructure related initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Preparation of various MIS reports including legal entity board packs and regulatory packs
• Work with UK LEC team to implement improvements to current MIS reporting and identify and build efficiencies from existing processes
• Work closely with the Mumbai MIS team to facilitate handover of report production
• Monitor and enhance data management to ensure consistency across reports
• Support various projects and initiatives which impact UK LEC including product, Infrastructure, Regulatory, Compliance and other business driven initiatives.
