J.P. Morgan's FIG Benelux Team is part of the EMEA Financial Institutions Group (FIG).
The team is responsible for the origination and execution of public and private MA and
capital markets transactions involving corporate, financial sponsor and government clients in the Benelux.
Job Summary:
This is an opportunity for an Associate to join the EMEA Financial Institutions Group focusing on the Benelux and in particular on the Netherlands.
Origination and execution of mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets transactions across banking, insurance, asset management and specialty finance client base within EMEA, focused on clients within Benelux.
Core Responsibilities:
• Completion of large and complex valuation and analytical exercises
• Support the preparation of presentation books, management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other presentation materials for use in MA and capital markets transactions or strategic client dialogue
• Transaction execution: support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation etc and liaising with relevant counterpart at the client/other advisers (accounting, legal, etc)
• Keeping abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics
• Training, coaching and mentoring of junior colleagues
Qualifications:
The work is fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating. We look for candidates with the following:
• Dutch language skills
• Outstanding financial analysis and modelling skills
• Experience of marketing and execution of MA deals is preferable
• Solid communication and project management skills
• In-depth understanding of investment banking products is preferable (can be enhanced and further built via training)
• Experience in dealing with clients and other transactional advisers is preferable (can be enhanced and further built via training)
• Strong team player
• Proficient in MS office applications, knowledge of Bloomberg preferred
