CIB Operations – C&D WCOB KYC Due Diligence QA Specialist – Vice President

This newly created KYC SME position will be responsible for leading a regional team of fellow KYC SMEs working with the EMEA on-boarding production team (COB) to improve controls and processes in the end-to-end Wholesale Bank Client Onboarding (WCOB) space. This is an opportunity for a highly skilled KYC SME expert to process their carer in a fast growing and highly professional international environment. The role will sit between the production team (COB) and compliance to supervise quality management developments within the Whole Sale Banking world of JP Morgan. The individual will work in close partnership with the client sales teams, on-boarding, Compliance, Internal Audit, the respective regulators, operations and very senior management to ensure accurate and complete data quality, process/procedural improvements, compliance adherence and end-to-end improvements within the regional regulatory requirements for KYC/CDD.
Key Responsibilities
- Diplomatic and exceptionally proficient communication skills, coupled with ability for quick absorption of new processes and procedures.
- Exhibiting an ability and willingness to share his/her expert knowledge with other members of the wider team (On-boarding (COB), Operations, Compliance, etc.).
- Ability to undertake evaluation of the end-to-end processes, to assist in setting strategies and practices to develop a zero defect culture and working practice.
- Removed oversight over on boarding activity to provide expert advice on AML/KYC, performance of reviews of AML/KYC activities and an aptitude with related processes, i.e. metrics, identify data quality issues, and resolution support.
- Analytic aptitude to perform root cause analysis and assist in the identifying solutions and best practices.
- Manage KYC QA activities for new and existing business and multiple remediation efforts concurrently within designated timeframes and quality standards.
- Knowledge management for KYC policy, procedures and training material updates and changes, train on-boarding teams and provide training certifications.
- Ensure KYC policies and procedures are accurate and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Partners with management to establish and update KPIs for onboarding processes, monitors performance to identify significant areas of concerns and oversees actions necessary to address issues.
- Ensure appropriate data available to produce defect reports on a regular basis.
- Build a strong working relationship with Operations, Multiple Lines of Business, Audit, Compliance, and Technology.
- Evaluate and monitor the impact of Industry changes, and new and enhanced offerings along with JPM infrastructure changes.
- Assist in identifying requirements for new WCOB Platform.
Qualifications:
Skills/Experience
- Unsurpassed SME KYC/CDD knowledge with an ability to teach others (Strong KYC experience with time spent in a Compliance function a plus).
- Able to influence others (i.e. very senior international managers, Compliance, etc.) coupled with exceptionally proficient 'soft skills'.
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving abilities (with team leadership a plus).
- Strong analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Results oriented and tenacious balanced with measured understanding.
- Promotes teamwork both within and across groups.
- Self manager with ability to embrace change and lead a small team.
- Strong experience in an international financial institution.
- Solid experience in identifying and/or implementing financial and/or operational controls with AML/KYC expertise.
- Ability to inspire others, leading by example and have willingness for travel
