This is a leadership role in the Regulatory Risk Control team for a very experienced VP, taking responsibility for the Controls Oversight stream. Candidates must be able to demonstrate ability and experience to operate at this level, including influencing and negotiating with senior stakeholders, partnership and initiating large-scale pieces of work. We are also looking for extensive investment bank product knowledge and strong control understanding of the front to back trade lifecycle. Deep derivatives or securities knowledge preferred.
You will have responsibility for a significant body of deliverables which will have a positive impact on our regulatory and reputational risk profile. This role provides a breadth and depth of visibility across the CIB CAO organisation with extensive cross functional and cross business exposure, and the opportunity to creatively problem-solve on a broad scale.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous improvement to the regulatory control environment. Setting regulatory reporting principles, risk assessing LOBs standards, gap analysis, increasing transparency to Senior Management of JPM's regulatory reporting health, and resolving urgent reporting incidents in conjunction with the LOB, Compliance, Audit, and Technology partners.
Key Deliverables:
- Responsible for creation, syndication implementation of global standards and best practices for regulatory reporting, controls, and risk management
- Create new communication and information channels to CIB Senior Management for delivering timely, accurate, actionable, high-quality metrics regarding JPMorgan's regulatory performance and risk indicators
- Develop an effective engagement model with key contacts across Global Lines of Business Operations, Finance and Technology teams
- Produce a weekly scorecard senior management updates regarding delivery against milestones
- Conduct periodic deep dive reviews into urgent regulatory issues from time to time

Qualifications:
Key Skills/ Experience:
- Pro-active leader and self-starter with excellent communication networking skills
- Excellent negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills at senior levels are critical to success
- Ability to excel in a global matrix organisation
- Proactive and creative problem solving.
- Previous experience in designing and implementing controls is highly desirable
- Firsthand experience of the end-to-end trade lifecycle gained in a middle office BAU or controls role, with demonstrable experience of control environment improvements
- An understanding of the regulatory reporting process gained in an operations, controls, or finance role
- Some experience with one or several regulatory requirements would be an asset
- Strong Project Management experience with excellent organization and delivery planning skills, and ability to multi-thread
- Strong delivery track record, including written artefacts
- Previous process re-engineering experience
- Strong analytical skills, logical thinker, with attention to detail
- Team player with ability work with colleagues in a collaborative manner
