Cisco Network Analyst

Responsibilities may include:

Provide day-to-day FTS (follow the sun) operational support and engineering for the ConocoPhillips global network ensuring maximum availability through proactive monitoring, analyses, maintenance, software configuration, upgrades, and patching.

This will include supporting our global data center network environments, WAN/LAN operations, rotational 24x7 on-call, 3rd level support for connectivity/services to third parties and technical consultancy.

Responsible for completing and adhering to all processes and procedures and all documentation/tools.

Specific experience, knowledge and troubleshooting skills of Cisco Data Center (6500 and Nexus switch) and WAN environments is expected and required for this position. Scripting knowledge is required in order to support/integrate various network management tools. Good problem management/resolution capability with hands on ability and customer facing skills.

 

Basic/Required:

·         Legally authorized to work in the United States

·         5+ years of Cisco Networking experience with minimum of CCNA Cisco Certification

·         5+ years of working knowledge and troubleshooting within a large global Cisco data center environment; specific experience with Cisco 6500 and Nexus hardware

·         Available to participate in a rotational 24x7 on-call support team

·         5+ years working knowledge of network management tools or equivalent technology; packet capture analysis, netflow, CiscoWorks, DNS/DHCP

·         5+ years programming/scripting experience; PHP, PERL and/or C#

Preferred:

·         College degree; preferably in MIS, CS, EE or related program

·         Cisco CCNP or higher certification

·         5+ years working knowledge with EIGRP, BGP, and MPLS routing protocols

·         Experience in the configuration and support of QoS, VPN components, Cisco ASA

·         Specific knowledge of Cisco ACS, WAN Optimization

·         Accountable and delivers on commitments

·         Ability to achieve excellent results with minimal guidance

·         Communicates clear specific recommendations and strategies to a wide range of audiences
