Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd-tier support for networks, systems, databases and applications
- Automate tasks as much as possible through the development of scripts and administration tools.
- Monitoring of system stability, availability and performance.
- Ensuring 24x7x365 operation of internal and client systems.
- Support client network connections and devices.
- Interact with clients and service providers to ensure timely correction of network issues
- Assist in implementing new network technologies and equipment by working with a team of network engineers.
- Perform documentation of procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent work in an IT related field.
- Cisco Routers and Switching – CCNA Preferred
- Routing Protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
- Hardware: Cisco 2750, 3550, 49xx, 28XX, 38xx, 65xx, 75xx, 10000, 12000, CRS1, ACE, MARS, etc
- Must be familiar with assisting end users describe issues and work to resolution
