Description of position This position performs analysis and other tasks necessary for design, implementation, and maintenance of Costcorsquo;s production Citrix infrastructure, applications, systems, and tools. Key duties include design, implementation, and support of production environments. This position shares responsibility in areas relating to the administration of Costcorsquo;s Collaboration and Infrastructure environments, on-going operation and resolution of system issues. This will involve developing detailed recommendations for business areas, management, architectural design, strategic planning and implementation, daily monitoring and tracking, auditing, consultation with other departments to resolve network issues and concerns, and analyzing and recommending system changes. The position will meet regularly with other areas of IS to determine technology requirements, offer advice and perform implementations. This position also will act as a mentor to other team members. This position will help install, configure, upgrade, and support network server hardware and software, as well as creating and maintaining automation scripts. Tasks and responsibilities - Enterprise application/infrastructure ndash; Design, configure, implement and document new server-based applications and/or Cloud Services. - Provide second and third level support for troubleshooting of user access, system availability, and performance issues with core infrastructure systems including Messaging, Cloud Services, Citrix, or other Enterprise applications. - Clearly identify, review revise server administration processes/procedures to ensure optimal levels of support. - Research, analyze and recommend changes required for system growth by utilizing industry standard monitoring and research tools. - Recommend security management practices, including, the ongoing promotion of awareness on current threats, auditing of server logs and other security management processes, as well as following established security standards. - Manage physical and virtual servers with multiple OSrsquo;s, includes provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining and upgrades. - Understand and adhere to Costcorsquo;s project methodology and framework. - Provide 24x7x365 on-call pager support, as necessary and work weekends and/or holidays, as necessary. - Understand and adhere to Costcorsquo;s Mission Statement and Code of Ethics. - Provide status reports and project schedules. Required skills, abilities, and certifications - Must have a minimum of five years experience with XenApp or Citrix Presentation Server, with at least two years experience administering XenApp 5.0, 5.5 or 6.0. - Minimum of five yearsrsquo; experience with Windows 2003 Server or 2008 Server in an enterprise environment. - Solid understanding and proven experience with tools such as Process Monitor, Performance Monitor, Event Viewer, SIM and other server monitoring tools to troubleshoot server software as well as network issues. - Proven experience in developing proposals for management with strong project management planning skills. - Demonstrated strong organization qualities in order to meet tight deadlines as well as coordinate, prioritize and communicate project statuses to required parties. - Must be a team player ndash; friendly, communicative, open, honest, thoughtful and committed. Must work cooperatively with others, sharing ideas and collaborating and ultimately putting team goals first. - Must be self-motivated and able to work independently or with team members with little supervision. - Proven experience leading meetings and presenting complex knowledge to clients of multiple skill levels. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong proven leadership skills. - Must be able to respond to crisis situations in a methodical way and to prioritize work effectively. Recommended skills, abilities, and certifications - Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA) or Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA). - Experience administering Active Directory group policies in a large enterprise environment. - Proven experience utilizing enterprise level virtualization technologies such as VMware. - A minimum of one year experience scripting in PowerShell or VBS.
