CIVIL DESIGNER
Bakersfield, Ca 93309
Job Summary:
Develop project basis and design standards for Civil design work
Design sketches and drawings review
Help lead a project, developing all aspects
Communicate with engineers and design leads from other disciplines
Communicate with the client and other disciplines at project meetings
Communicate with the client and contractors during construction
Qualifications:
10 plus years experience as a designer
Experience with drainage plans, grading plans, sewer, well pad design, road bridge civil design experience
Heavy industry, road, highway civil design experience preferred (Not housing and lot development). These are drainage and grading designers, not Structural.
Efficient in Auto-Cad, 2-D, 3-D and Land Desk or Civil 3D.
Some upsteam oil and gas or heavy industry experience a plus
Excellent communication skills
Must have a desire to learn, work in a team environment with a positive attitude
Local candidates highly preferred as will be tested on Civil 3D
A U.S. Citizen or have the legal right to work in the USA without sponsorship
Employment contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening and background check
