Civil Engineer
Electrical power generation client is currently seeking a Civil Engineer for the installation of Main Steam Isolation Valves (MSIVs) and ancillary equipment at Oconee Nuclear Station in Seneca, SC. This is a 9 month CONTRACT position, scheduled through December 31, 2012, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates are preferred, but per diem will be available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all civil structures comply with applicable codes and standards
- Interface with other design disciplines in order to provide overall design requirements to other discipline teams as well as interface with internal and external customers on technical issues
- Responsible for design guidance, review and comment on design deliverables generated by outside engineering firms / vendors and provide craft field technical support during design change package implementation
- Ensure design deliverables are issued on schedule, with the required quality, and that the design and implementation comply with client's policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's Degree in Civil Engineering is a plus)
- 5 or more years of power plant design and analysis experience in nuclear power
- Experience developing engineering change packages in the nuclear industry
- Documented industry utility training qualifications that meet INPO / ACAD 98-004 criteria is desired
