Description: Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking a candidate to fill a civil engineer position in the St. Louis, Missouri office. This is an Aviation Market Unit position. General Assignments: Design and construction engineering of Airport pavements, site development, grading and drainage, piped utilities including storm sewers and water mains, storm detention facilities, and ancillary facilities. Experience with the design and construction of projects funded by the Airport Improvement Program is preferred. Design engineering includes analysis, preparation of calculations, and development of details, preparation of specifications and estimates, and directing the preparation of plans. Investigations, including determining problems, identify alternative solutions, and make recommendations. Construction engineering includes observing construction, interpreting design intent, evaluating construction for compliance with contract documents, and the directing of testing and engineering support personnel. Qualifications: Position requires a bachelor?s degree in engineering with appropriate course work in the civil site development and/or transportation discipline. The candidate must be able to work as a team member and independently, have the desire to learn new skills, be self-motivated and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years experience in civil/transportation projects and possess a Professional Engineer license. Interest in experiencing a variety of assignments is important. Candidate must be willing to accept out-of-town travel assignments and to work overtime to meet project demands. Candidates with the following experiences preferred: · Project Management experience · AutoCAD/Civil3D/ capability· Airport design and construction experience ?
