Position description:
Yara's Project Office manages the company’s large and medium projects - either on their own or with the support of external engineering companies – and delivers technical support to Yara plants. The unit consists of about 80 employees who are mainly located in Brussels.
To enforce our Technology team, we are now looking for a Civil Engineer.
Areas of responsibility/Role:
- Specify steel structures and civil components according to Yara specifications and applicable designstandards
- Prepare technical specifications for steel structures and civil works as per Yara experience
- Support the designers in the drawing office in the preparation of documents for inquiry and purchase
- Trouble-shooting in area of steel structures and civil works in Yara plants
- Follow up of steel structures and civil work in projects with regard to quality and expediting
- Review/make calculations, review drawings and other relevant documentation
- Follow up on the market and propose best solutions
- Act as a project manager for smaller projects
Your profile:
- Master Degree in Civil Engineering
- Relevant experience of minimum 3 years with industrial design (chemical plants); experience with calculation software like Robot or equivalent
- Open and positive attitude and able to communicate and interact well with/in different cultures
- Hands-on mentality
- Willingness to travel in an international environment
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset
