Dewberry is seeking an Civil Engineer/Engineering Technician / Designer with 5 plus years of experience to work in our Lanham, Maryland office. This position emphasizes design and plan set preparation of a wide variety of site civil projects. Work activities may include; Preparation of water and Sewer Plans, grading, pipe networks, alignments, profiles, sections, analysis, and preliminary, conceptual, and final designs. Must have previous Experience with the WSSC (Washington suburban sanitary commission) and Prince George's County. Experience AutoCAD are required. Experience with site plans, re-sites and grading are also required. Forest and tree conservation experience preferred.

• Prepared Water and Sewer Plans for WSSC review and approval
Provide drafting and design services by preparing and maintaining CAD/GIS models, engineering drawings and maps.
• Prepare designs and estimates from general instruction and preliminary sketches, diagrams or schematics.
• May recommend modifications and changes for design improvement and simplification.
• Produce complex technical drawings.
• Prepare working drawings from conceptual layout to detailed finished product.
• Coordinate CAD projects with other team members.
This position emphasizes design and plan set preparation of a wide variety of water resources, water/wastewater, civil, and transportation projects. Work activities may include; grading, preparing digital terrain models (DTMs and TINs), pipe networks, alignments, profiles, sections, and redline drafting as part of completing evaluations, analysis, and preliminary, conceptual, and final designs.
