Position Summary:
Specifically, Our Client is seeking a Civil Engineer who is experienced in:
- Structural Builds
- Foundations
- Working with complex structural steel builds
- Performing multiple calculations for the structures
The Civil Structural Engineer will need some Project Management skills in order to:
- Develop project scopes and specifications on turnkey projects.
- Have customer interaction.
- Coordinate with construction in the field.
- Do on-site verification.
- Provide support and start-up assistance.

Currently, Our Client employs approximately 100 Management and Office staff members, with 700 to 1,400 trade employees in the field. Their professional staff includes full-time Project Managers; Purchasing and Expediting Agents; Electrical, Piping, Civil and Sheet Metal Estimators; Engineers and Draftsmen; and Technicians.
This is an estimated Six-Month Temp-to-Hire position in Washington, PA, through Volt Workforce Solutions, based in Pittsburgh, PA. We are among the largest staffing companies in the US for contingent/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated companies in the Northeast.
Requirements:
Required Skills for this Civil Structural Engineer position include the following:
Top 3 Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience as Civil Structural Engineer; PE (Professional Engineer) Certification preferred; but not required
- Structural Steel experience/background
- Strong mathematics/calculation skills
Additional Requirements:
- Must possess some skill/experience in Project Management software such as 3P and/or Microsoft Project
- Some AutoCAD 2010 experience required in order to do own drawings and/or make modifications
- Strong communication skills; both verbally and written
- Must be self-motivated and self-directed in tasks
- Strong collaboration skills when working as part of a team
- Innovative problem-solving skills
- Experience with Field Project teams
- Client-facing skills
