Claim Vendor Representative I Job in Webster 01570, Massachusetts US

This position is at MAPFRE/Commerce Insurance Company located in Webster, MA.

 

Performs a variety of Claim support functions in the Enterprise Contact Center including, servicing medical providers, auto body shops and adverse carrier calls.  Additionally, logs and indexes medical bills, maintains and updates medical provider table, enters glass and tow accords, researches and enters Insurance Services Office (ISO) and Medicare information.  Transfers claim payments, process write-offs and performs other support activities as needed.  Assists with other Contact Center functions such as taking first reports when needed.

 

·          High School or equivalent knowledge or related experience.

·          0 - 1 years.

·          Solid understanding of general and technical parts of the job. Working knowledge in field, able to work independently.

·          Makes decisions within position standards, generally applying defined guidelines and procedures.However, some interpretation may be required in dealing with exceptions, such as choosing from two or more pre-defined alternative courses of action.

·          Works under general supervision for routine work.  Detailed or specific instructions may be given for new activities or assignments.

·          Works as an individual contributor.  May participate in training less experienced staff.

·          Applies knowledge to help solve routine problems requiring independent thinking with direction.

·          Contacts other departments and or external organizations or parties frequently.  Contacts involve obtaining or providing information on matters which may be sensitive and or complex to interpret.

 

Requires strong interpersonal skills, solid customer service, oral communication, listening and comprehension skills.  The ability to work well both independently and within a team is required.  Basic PC skills required. Must complete SHL Contact Center Skills assessments.  Knowledge of various MAPFRE l USA Claim operating systems a plus.  Must possess strong organizational skills, be able to follow detailed instructions and work in a fast-paced environment.  Should possess strong decision-making skills as well as have the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.  Knowledge of Claims Operation Systems including ACE, Medical Bill Log, ClaimWorks, PC Based Scripting, and Claims customer service standards is desired.

* Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus. Knowledge of insurance terminology preferred.
