Claims Advisor Job in Kettering
This rapidly expanding claims management company, part of a leading marketing and legal services organisation, is looking for a Claims Advisor to join their Customer Service Centre team based in Kettering. The position offers a basic salary of £15,015 pa plus performance related bonus, investment bonus, 25 days paid holiday, stakeholder pension scheme, childcare vouchers, eye care vouchers, travel club and an opportunity to undertake QCF (formerly NVQ) qualification.
The business helps consumers to claim back mis-sold PPI, which is a type of insurance commonly mis-sold with personal loans and credit cards.
As a Claims Advisor, you will act as a first point of contact to the consumer answering their queries and determining their eligibility for compensation; dealing with large volumes of inbound and out bound calls. Whilst you will be expected to acquire the necessary technical knowledge, an empathetic and friendly personality is the key attribute for this role.
Your main duties will include:
* To handle inbound and outbound calls.
* Be a Consumer Champion in providing excellent sales through service.
* Follow guidelines and processes in assessing each Consumer's potential claim for mis-selling.
* Make effective decisions by using appropriate knowledge in screening potential claims.
* Follow-up initial claim call to answer questions and chase outstanding claim forms.
* Accurately and efficiently capturing data using the IT systems.
* Meet required productivity and performance targets.
* Actively participate in team meetings and to receive and act on feedback from reviewed calls.
The ideal Claims Advisor will hold the following skills and experiences:
* Previous experience within a Claims Advisor, Legal Services, Call Centre or Contact Centre role.
* Excellent verbal written communication skills.
* Ability to build rapport with Consumers to be able to positively influence their decision making.
* Proven sales through service skills.
* Detail conscious and able to accurately follow processes.
* Able to consistently demonstrate active listening skills.
* Confident literate in office IT systems with good keyboard skills.
* Ability to work effectively at an individual level whilst contributing to the performance of the team.
* A self-starter, motivated to work to high standards in a target driven environment and to meet personal and team targets consistently.
* Adaptable and resilient, able to work in a changing environment.
You will be working 37.5 hours per week during contact centre operating hours:
* Monday - Friday 8.00 am - 9.00 pm
* Saturday 9.00 am - 6.00 pm
* Claims Advisors are not required to work Sundays, but will be expected to work 3 in 6 Saturdays.
