Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, investigates, evaluates and concludes low exposure, low complexity claims. Generally handles Medical Only Worker's Compensation claims. May be the first contact with the public regarding a claim.
Job Accountabilities:
1. Verifies applicable coverage and liability.
2. Contacts insureds and claimants by phone. Gathers information germane to exposure and Best Practices and acts upon information received.
3. Provides updates to interested parties based on information contained in the file.
4. Interviews witnesses.
5. Sets appropriate reserves within authority level.
6. Complies with Customer Protocol.
7. Documents claim files pursuant to Best Practices.
8. May have designated accounts.
9. Recognizes Subrogation and Fraud.
10. Must meet state license requirements within prescribed time frame, where applicable.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
*High School diploma or equivalent, required
*2 or more years of office experience, required
Preferred Qualifications:
*Associates or Bachelors degree, preferred
*Previous claims administrative experience, preferred
