We are branch of the world’s leading metal provider Mechel with plans for expansion throughout the UK, currently with offices/warehouses in Wales, Kent and Birmingham.
We are looking for candidate for the following position:
Claims Handler – STEEL INDUSTRY
Location: Based in Birmingham, with regular site visits throughout the UK and Ireland
The right candidate for this role will have:
1. Ideally a background in steel industry (you must be able to visualise the claim under discussion) or office background in insurance, engineering or similar industry.
2. Good paperwork/computing skills (you will be able to provide clear understanding to Sales Managers and Lawyer of the status of outstanding claims).
3. Experience of following up full claim procedure.
4. Liaising with similar department on the client’s side
5. Close work with the accounting team, ability to raise credit notes and similar paperwork for customer/supplier once Sales Managers and Lawyer have agreed claim.
