My client is a highly regarded institution within the insurance industry that offers support and advice in strategic and operational risk management and insurance products, tailored to meet the specific needs of individual clients. Their portfolio represents over $120 billion of insured assets with an annual net premium revenue of almost $200 million covering a largely public but diverse client base.

Job Description

Reporting to the COO of the Domestic Building Insurance (DBI) division, you will be responsible for the management, co-ordination and settlement of all claims within their client portfolio. You will look after all aspects of the claims process in line with the policy terms of the relevant DBI scheme to ensure efficient settlement. This will include collating/verifying data, instructing solicitors/loss adjusters, attending VCAT hearings, processing claims payments, and managing general claims enquiries from builders and owners. You will also work closely with the Transition Manager to identify, develop and implement improvements to the claims process and service.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have a number of years experience in claims administration and management within the Builders Warranty Insurance or similar scheme. They will also have the following:
