Job Description:

Job Summary:
The Claims Processor / Claims Specialist works in the Claims Department, overseeing the processing of various claims – this can include pulling documents, following up with clients, medical offices, etc., providing status updates on claims, etc.

Main Accountabilities:
• Data Entry of claims into system.
• Send acknowledgement letters to third party administrators of claim receipt.
• Assign new inventory to Claims team.
• Provide status update on claims currently in process to third party administrators.
• Detail code line item entry of submitted claims into system.
• Ensure Claim Balances - system vs. submitted documentation.
• Contact third party administrators to obtain corrected claims documentation when claim does not balance.
• Contact third party administrators to obtain appropriate CPT codes.

Job Experience:
Requirements:
• Experience using the Internet, Lotus Notes, MS Excel, MS Word.
• Requires ability to work and solve problems independently after completion of training sessions.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of systems applications, and be comfortable using computers.
• Should be results oriented, learn quickly and able to make sound decisions after appropriate training.
• Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written as well as exemplary organizational skills.
• Excellent customer services skills including an ability to follow through, take ownership and drive all assigned tasks to completion.
• Ability to multi-task
